Welcome Fall 2019

5 Fun Things to do at Home this Fall

When I think of fall, I think of coziness, sweaters, fireplaces, and warm hugs. Personally, fall is my favorite season. We transition from outdoor activities to doing more activities at home or indoors with family and friends. The type of activities are varied but for my family, they tend to revolve around food. Here are 5 fun things we all can do for the fall:
  1. Decorate for the fall season by bringing in some of the more muted colors into your decor. Also, blankets and pillows are added for cozier comfort.
  2. Plan a harvest party for friends and be sure to have your favorite fall foods as part of the menu. We do pumpkin everything, pancakes, biscuits, soups, you name it.
  3. Since we are not as scattered with outdoor activities, plan movie nights when everyone can cozy up with warm mugs of apple cider or hot chocolate and enjoy kid-friendly entertainment together.
  4. Crafting is also a wonderful project to begin in the fall. It can last all season and be ready just in time to have a wonderfully creative gift to present to a loved one at Christmas. Also, working with one's hands relieves stress and grounds us, especially in an era when everyone is so cerebrally dominant or electronically connected.
  5. Enjoy watching seasonal football games with each other. Even for those of us, like myself, who aren't' into football, the times spent cheering for the home team with fellow friends and loved ones are quite memorable. Not to mention the fact that football and tasty junk food go hand in hand.
No matter what you decide to do this fall, have fun. Sweater weather is here. Enjoy it to the fullest and let me know what fun activities you enjoy doing during this time of year.

New Mindset, New Focus

It's been such a long while since I've written anything on this blog. At one point I considered deleting it because my mindset has changed so much. I've always felt a sense of pride about being a Mompreneur, the proverbial Superwoman. It all came crashing down. I realized that I have consistently been overworked and stressed. I can't do it all. Something is going to give, either time with the kids, time with my hubby, the quality of my work, or time spent taking care of myself.

My new mindset is more traditional. I believe that men are made to work and women are made to nurture. This is not what is accepted in this modern era but it is what makes me feel most at peace in my family life.

Am I still a Mompreneur? Yes. But I am one who realizes that I am happiest around the home, nurturing and caring for myself and my family.

For this reason, this blog will change tremendously and it will focus more on my home life with a little bit of entrepreneurial advice here and there.

Despite this, we can still learn and grow together.
